Board of Review
The Mason City Board of Review is responsible for reviewing property assessment appeals. The board is made up of three members who live in Mason City and have knowledge of both construction and the real estate market. The board functions independently from the Assessor’s office and has the ability to change or uphold any assessment that has been timely appealed.

Members of the Board of Review are appointed by the Mason City Conference Board and serve six-year terms.
